Q: When will Maison MONA DI ORIO relaunch?

A: We are in the process of preparing for a relaunch of Maison MONA DI ORIO, with our anticipated return scheduled for the second quarter of 2024. Q: Why are some fragrances discontinued?

A: As we move forward, we’ve made the decision to archive a part of our collection, specifically the fragrances that have faced challenges in connecting with today’s modern consumers. The complexity of our fragrances has consistently presented a unique and demanding experience. While they are cherished by numerous connoisseurs and fragrance collectors, their production quantities have fallen outside the scope of our current requirements.

Q: Are you launching new fragrances?

A: Over the past few years, my responsibility has been to develop new creations for MMDO, all the while cultivating trust among our valued, both new and existing, clientele. To flourish, we’ve had to navigate the intricate path of preserving the legacy while embracing the contemporary landscape – a demanding yet exceptionally fulfilling endeavor. I steadfastly believe in revering our heritage and utilizing it as a wellspring of inspiration for crafting innovative marvels, rather than allowing it to impede our progress. A pivotal element of paying homage to our legacy has materialized through the visionary work of our in-house Perfumer, Mr. Fredrik Dalman. As a cohesive team, we are propelling forward, carrying our rich history with us, guided by the enduring memory of Mme. Di Orio, culminating in the creation of five remarkable new fragrances.

Q: Will the Alinea Collection be available?

A: In recent years, the Alinea Collection has been exclusively accessible through a highly selective and thoughtfully chosen cohort of brand ambassadors. These fragrances have convincingly demonstrated that they can successfully bridge the gap between the authentic roots of Niche Perfumery and the preferences of contemporary perfume enthusiasts. However, the considerable expense associated with their packaging and the extremely limited production scale has posed a pricing challenge for many. To address this, we are transitioning from the precious handmade lacquered boxes to more cost-effective black packaging, resulting in a significant reduction in price.

Q: Will Oudh Osmanthus be back?

A: Oudh Osmanthus has consistently been our best-selling fragrance, cherished by a multitude of aficionados. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that Oudh Osmanthus will make its return in our curated collection, and it will be accompanied by an Amber and a Saffron fragrance, all of which embody a contemporary oriental essence.

Q: Have the formulas been reformulated?

A: We never have and we never will. The creations are made by true artists trying their best to give the most. Reveal a soul, an original story. Rewriting formulas goes against all we believe in. Note: because we use a high percentage of beautiful natural ingredients our fragrances age like wines. A fresh batch will never smell identical to aged creations. This does NOT mean that the formulas are reformulated.

We have never engaged in, nor will we ever entertain the idea of altering our creations in such a manner. Our fragrances are meticulously crafted by genuine artists, devoted to providing the utmost in quality. They strive to unveil a unique soul and convey an original narrative. Modifying formulations contradicts the very essence of our beliefs.
